Payroll Specialist
- Checking timesheets for accuracy.
- Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with development & creation of necessary spreadsheets to capture vital information.
- Handling direct deposit requests and data.
- Processing wage garnishments.
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission.
- Process weekly Payroll with Paychex.
- Perform Certified Payroll duties.
- Manage commission spreadsheets for qualified individuals.
- Perform compliance checks for time keep accuracy.
- Knowledgeable in compensation laws, prevailing wage, and record keeping.
- Work with Key Management to capture project profit & loss and create subsequent project reports.
- Additional Accounting and/or Administrative Tasks as requested.
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with payroll management for an organization.
- 5+ years’ Experience with complex payroll, and improving payroll systems.
- Paychex and QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Experience with quality control and various time tracking measures.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to learn new software.
- Associate Degree or higher.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m – 5 p.m., additional time as needed.
