Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CNC machining processes, excellent programming skills, and the ability to work with precision to deliver high-quality components.

Responsibilities:

  1. Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines including mills, and lathes, to produce complex components to precise specifications.

 

  1. CNC Programming: Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software (such as EdgeCam, MasterCam, or similar) for multi-axis machining centers.

  2. Tool Selection and Maintenance: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tool holders for each job. Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.

  3. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement changes.

  4. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry best practices.

  5. Training and Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to junior machinists and apprentices. Share knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer in a precision manufacturing environment.

  2. Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC programming and machining, including experience with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming. Familiarity with a variety of materials (e.g., metals, plastics, composites) and machining processes (milling, turning, etc.).

  3. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues and implement effective solutions.

  4. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with tight tolerances.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  6. Team Player: Works well independently and as part of a team. Collaborative attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.

  7. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in CNC machining or related fields is preferred.
