Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order pharmacy team. This full-time position requires an individual with a strong background in pharmacy operations, who can effectively manage medication dispensing and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The role involves working the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with rotating weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accurate dispensing of medications in a Long-Term Care mail order setting.
  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical expertise and consultation to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to maintain efficient workflow and timely delivery of medications.
  • Manage medication inventory and assist with ordering as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in a Long-Term Care or mail order setting.
  • License: Active New Mexico Pharmacy License.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Availability: Willingness to work rotating weekends as part of the 2nd shift schedule.
