Job DescriptionJob Description

Overall Responsibility:

The company’s Corporate Controller will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all transactions and balances in the company’s Epicor ERP system as well as reporting key financial data to management. This will include being familiar with all data entry and individual amounts entered into the system from throughout the company, enforcing internal controls to ensure accuracy and reporting from the system. The Controller will also maintain primary relationships with the company’s bank and external accountants.

Reports to:

General Manager

Within The First 60 Days and Ongoing after:

· Complete review and understanding of the company’s current general ledger in Epicor;

· Complete review and understanding of the company’s order entry, billing, cash receipt, purchase order, payables and vendor payment cycles;

· Understanding of all data entry into Epicor;

· Preparation of the following monthly financial statements from Epicor or via Excel:
-Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheets – monthly and year to date, showing prior periods
-Divisional P&L and Balances – monthly and year to date, showing prior periods
-Bank covenant calculations
-Sales and Profit by Product Line – monthly and year to date
-Daily Flash Report
-Weekly Manager’s Report
-Monthly Accounting Manager’s Report

Ongoing After The First 60 Days

· Establishment and enforcement of internal controls over all data entered into Epicor;

· Supervision of all data entry that ultimately resides in the company’s general ledger for all divisions;

· Preparation of quarterly cash flow forecast;

· Preparation of annual budgets;

· Automation of payables, check-signing and cash management;

· Completing all non-labor government reporting requirements (i.e. census reports, etc.)

· Liaise with outside tax accountants, R&D tax credit consultants, attorneys, outside consultant, bank and insurance firms;

· Maintaining the company’s accounting policies;

· Supervising the preparation of bank reconciliations;

· Manage all vendor, supplier, service firm and freight delivery relationships and negotiate best prices for the company;

· Creating and implementing continuous cost and overhead reduction strategies for every general ledger line item;

· Supervising credit and collection activities;

· Updating and maintaining company’s credit ratings with outside service bureaus (i.e. Dun & Bradstreet);

· Maintain all company financial and legal files under current IRS document retention rules;

· Maintaining and updating all corporate minutes;

· Supervision of accounting and cost management staff;

· Interactions with senior management and financial support for projects;

· Ongoing ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
