Extrusion Pipe Operator

Position: Machine Operator Department: Production
Reports to: Production Shift Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reports directly to Lead Extrusion Operator and Shift Foreman
· Cooperates with and Supports the Plant General Rules and Safety Programs.
· Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures
· Supports Continuous Improvement Programs/Activities
· Ability to safely operate pipe extrusion system, and downstream machines
· Ability to safely operate a Shredder / Grinder.
· Ability to safely operate a forklift (if possess an appropriate license).
· Ability to safely complete the following tasks:
o Start-up/shutdown process equipment
o Effectively troubleshoot all process equipment
o Demonstrate efficient housekeeping skills.
o Troubleshoot quality related problems.
o Attend all required safety/quality / training meetings.
o Communicate equipment issues to maintenance personnel orally.
o Demonstrate knowledge of plant emergency procedures.
o Identify good quality product and be able to adjust equipment to acquire it.
o Demonstrate knowledge of all “E-stops" on the lines.
o Support PM Program.
· Any other duties or responsibilities as determined by Operations Management
Qualifications
· High School Graduate or equivalent
· Experience in Extrusion - Plus
· Good Troubleshooting skills
· Available to work all shifts
· Good Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills
· Good oral and written communications skills
