About This Role:

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA, PCT, PCA) at A New Beginnings Health, you play a vital part in supporting people who entrust us with their care, their families, and your fellow care team members. You will build deep relationships with patients when they come into our clinic.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care in various settings, including but not limited to nursing homes, teaching hospitals, home care, and urgent care facilities.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with vital signs, medication administration, and medical procedures as needed.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Participate in patient education and teaching medical terminology to patients and their families.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Utilize electronic systems to document patient information and track patient progress.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the healthcare team.

Requirements:

- Current Nursing Assistant certification or licensure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in critical care or with patients who require specialized care.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with electronic systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for teaching medical terminology to patients and their families.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
