Job Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Take medical histories, examine patients, record results, make diagnoses, and develop care plans.
- Order diagnostic tests such as EKGs, blood work, and imaging, and interpret the results to patients.
- Perform procedures such as immunizations, cryotherapy, pap smears, and Nexplanon insertion/removal.
- Communicate with patients in person, via chat, and occasionally by phone regarding treatment.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Provide general health education on matters such as proper diet, family planning, and health maintenance.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with state guidelines and company policy.
- Detect changes in patients’ health and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Specialized Care:
- Manage a patient panel of roughly 100 individuals, focusing on preventative medicine, weight management, and behavioral health.
- Provide evidence-based care and remain proficient in current medical practices.
Technology and Teamwork:
- Communicate asynchronously with patients and team members.
- Embrace variability and navigate change confidently.
- Stay up to date on clinic and company changes and updates.
Qualifications
Education:
- Degree from an accredited MD/DO program.
- Board Certified.
Licensure and Certification:
- Active South Carolina license.
- Active DEA registration (including schedule II).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a primary care setting; 5+ years is ideal.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in weight management, behavioral health, and preventative medicine.
- Must be able to supervise mid-level practitioners
Skills and Attributes:
- Interest in providing affordable access to executive-level care.
- Desire to be an active member of a team dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and accessibility.
- Confidence to navigate change and embrace variability.
- Proficient in providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
