Job Title: Data Support and Analytics
Location: New York, NY
Pay Range: $90-105/hrs depends on experience
Type: 3+ months

Position summary:

  • Client is looking for an experienced analyst to join our People Analytics team.
  • We're a data-driven organization, empowering local economies and our people to do the best work of their careers.
  • You will develop analyses enabling for most senior leaders to make informed decisions on planning headcount, talent management, and recruiting decision.
  • Develop scalable analytics and deep-dives enabling senior leadership to make informed decisions in headcount planning.
  • Lead new analysis projects to build and improve the tools and use of data to inform headcount planning Cultivate relationships with leaders across the People team and organization to understand people needs Partner directly with the executive leaders who drive organizational change based on the findings from your work Build the first version of our budget-based headcount planning tools, delivering analytics at scale.
  • Design and develop training to help improve user adoption and usage frequency Develop reporting support for the DoorDash’s senior leaders to understand impact of trade-offs on budgets and finances.
  • Maintain skills and education in People Analytics research, "best practices", technology, and connections with other Analytics leaders

Skills

  • 5 years of experience in a quantitative or analytics role
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (actuarial science, finance, economics, or similar)
  • Experience in headcount planning, headcount forecasts, or similar Experience independently leading projects
  • Experience managing relationships with all partners, and working with all levels of an organization
  • Experience presenting to and working with all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent understanding of using statistical analyses (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) to drive decisions
  • Experience telling compelling stories with data to nontechnical stakeholders Proficiency with SQL, Python (or R), and ETL pipelines Experience working with people data (compensation, turnover, promotions etc)
  • Experience handling confidential data

Helpful Experience:

  • Master's degree in related field, Workday HCM experience
