Rehab Authorizations

Our Physical and Occupational therapy Authorization Specialists are responsible to work with the staff to expeditiously contact the various entities, provide accurate clinical and demographic information, obtain the authorizations in a timely manner and communicate the information to the patient.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Obtain Rehab Orders/requests for target locations in the organization by monitoring our EMR System, phone, online, or emails

· Conduct Online/phone Authorization request for patient’s schedules

· Conduct Online/Phone authorization investigation of eligible benefits

· Communication of authorization/benefits to patients prior to exams

· Scheduling of initial and follow-up visits with the respective therapist

· Facilitation of Peer to Peer reviews for Authorizations

· Provision of Medical records in pursuit of Authorizations

· Documentation of Authorization process various systems: Centricity/Exscribe/Health I Pass
