Job Overview: We are excited to announce the addition of two brand new, highly capable CNC routing tables to our production facility. In preparation for this expansion, we are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator. Your role will be crucial in programming, operating, and maintaining our state-of-the-art equipment, which includes features like automatic tool changers and vacuum hold downs.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate two new ShopSabre CNC routing tables, ensuring high levels of precision and efficiency.
  • Set up machines for optimal operation, including tool selection and positioning.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters for optimum performance.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure consistent operation.
  • Work with a variety of sheet materials such as wood, composites, plastics, and adapting techniques and tools as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to process improvements, aiming to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Proven 3+ years experience as a CNC machine operator, with specific experience with wood, plastics, or other materials.
  • Experience with MasterCam, V-Carve, or Fusion360 a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of programming G-Code and the ability to quickly learn specific software and machinery.
  • Experience with advanced CNC features like automatic 12-tool changers, laser marking, digitizing probes, and vacuum hold downs.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D & 3D technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to operate and maintain machinery, including standing for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to new materials and techniques.
  • Commitment to safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
