Insurance Agent Overview

Responsible for sales and retention of profitable insurance business for the agency

• Prospect for new sales leads
• Obtain all information needed for rating and issuance of proposals
• Complete insurance applications using the agency management system
• Provide risk management advice to clients
• Collect premiums
• Make sales in accordance with agency goals and direction
• Team with account executives to service and renewal of existing accounts
• Actively participate in necessary training sessions and maintain continuing education related to regulatory standards
• Adhere to Bank’s security and audit procedures and demonstrate compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act

Insurance Agent Qualifications:

• Minimum two years’ experience in sales
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
