Job description – Labor Compliance

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review Subcontractors’ certified payroll reports for compliance including, but not limited to prevailing wages, craft classifications, and fringe benefits.
  • Submit labor compliance documents to owners/agencies as required by project specifications.
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Communicate project specific labor compliance requirements to subcontractors/vendors
  • Approve subcontractors/vendors for payment by verifying they are compliant with the project they are being paid for.
  • They will assure compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and other governmental labor requirements
  • Ensure administration and enforcement of labor standards
  • Monitor and enforce Subcontractor compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and other labor requirements
  • Audit daily reports, sign-in sheets, time cards, cancelled checks and pay stubs
  • Respond to Federal Compliance Officer's letters of concern
  • Review subcontractor payrolls
  • Performing other relevant admin duties when needed.

Job description – Certified Payroll

Responsibilities

  • Be involved in projects with our Compliance Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges
  • Use multiple data sources to prepare certified payroll reports, in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Assist in monitoring prevailing wage projects from start to finish, including review of prevailing wage and benefit payments made to employees, and take steps necessary to ensure compliance
  • Keep internal and external databases up to date with current wage rates and fringe benefit rates (including LCP Certified and/or other certified payroll reporting software)
  • Resolving certified payroll reporting inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Provide project teams with assistance on correcting payroll discrepancies
  • Coordinate prevailing wage compliance efforts with project accounting teams, government compliance teams, human resources, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Work on other compliance projects (as required)

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Davis Bacon Act and state/local prevailing wage laws, California
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with LCP Certified and LCP Tracker
  • Ability to gather and analyze large volumes of data both skillfully and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills – must be able to coordinate between departments and project teams
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion
