POSITION OVERVIEW

Perform panel build, field wiring, and debug related to building special machinery for the food, commercial, industrial, and automation industries.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES 


  • Do work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of electrical equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings supplied by electrical engineers
  • Implement electrical panel build and machine wiring per supplied engineering drawings
  • Implement custom machine start up, trouble shooting, and debug related to the build process
  • Service existing equipment and/or perform warranty work related to electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
  • Determine the need for, analyzes, and makes necessary running adjustments, repairs, or modifications to engineering drawing to satisfy the requirements of custom machinery build.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted and corrective action taken.
  • Pneumatic panel build per supplied engineering drawings
  • Pneumatic plumbing of valves and cylinders per supplied engineering drawings​


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5 plus years’ experience required
  • Vocational school or junior technical college training in the related industry.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal apprenticeship training program or tenured experience in the related industry.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing noted tasks related to machinery build and repair work.
  • Meets company's substance abuse testing requirements; as a safety sensitive person, may be subject to random substance abuse checks.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's permit to operate electrician's cart and forklift truck for installation jobs.
  • High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to others when responsible for flow of electrical power.
  • Baseline robotic knowledge is a plus for the position.
  • Willingness to travel on installs inside and outside the United States
  • Must furnish the basic hand tools of the trade
  • Willingness to work and altered work schedule as needed


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The physical work requirements of the electrical position are at times strenuous. The job requires standing for long periods and frequent work on ladders and scaffolds. Install working conditions.
