About the role:

As a Laser IRI  (Incoming Receiving Inspection) Tech you will perform technical tasks that include incoming inspection of laser and optics in support of capital equipment manufacturing. In the role you will work cross functionally with engineering and operations team to ensure on time execution of production schedules to deliver quality systems to our end customer.

What you will do:

  • Set up and perform incoming inspection of laser and optical components per documented procedures.
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas in assembly and test of equipment as assigned.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations team to provide feedback on laser test procedures and processes to optimize for quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects and actives focusing on efficiency and Lean methodology
  • Adhere to company Environment, Health, and Safety policies

 

What we are looking for:

  • Technical associate degree, military experience, or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of laser testing and incoming receiving inspection.
  • Quality minded individual with high attention to detail and schedule execution
  • Ability to understand and utilize ERP systems for job closures, BOM verifications, and material availability.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Engineering documents such as drawings, prints, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to understand direction and follow process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and improve processes
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
