The Senior Consultant II (Project Manager II) is responsible for ensuring that projects are on time, within budget, within scope and delivery of the highest quality work product at the highest level of professionalism.

To ensure success as our Project Manager II you should demonstrate extensive project management skills including developing and maintaining detailed project plans, project budgets, and work product; providing leadership and guidance; and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done because you understand that teamwork supersedes titles and doing what is necessary to exceed client expectations and support your team is what is most important, and valued, within SCB.  
 
Responsibilities:
You will manage client projects from start to finish, including development and execution of project strategies and objectives, identify potential risk and devise mitigation strategies, create and deliver detailed reports on project progress and outcomes, and work alongside your project team to deliver the highest quality results:
 

  • Ensures projects on are time, within budget and within scope.
  • Proactively communicate with the client and ensure follow-through of project deliverables?; coordinates with Project Director and CEO, as appropriate, to establish and maintain effective client relationship.
  • Outlines and communicates project strategy and each project deliverable approach and goals timely and appropriately with team?.
  • Oversees all project management phases (i.e., project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and project closure) for Agile and Waterfall projects in accordance with company standards.
  • Develops and maintains project governance and project management documentation, including project plans, schedules, communication, risk registers, status updates, and critical path.
  • Keep Project Director and CEO informed of project status and emerging issues?. Communicates issues, risks, recommendations, and escalations to leadership and stakeholders, proactively and consistently, and ensure expectations are aligned.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills to ensure project team is operating efficiently and effectively?; Supervises Project Analysts and other project team members.
  • Ensure company/project utilization goals and guidelines are achieved, within budget, and with the appropriate, qualified team members?.
  • Works effectively with geographically dispersed project team members and/or third-party teams to coordinate the development, testing, and implementation of infrastructure, systems, and applications with the effective use of collaboration tools, MS Teams, SharePoint, Wrike, etc.
  • Establishes and reports metrics, procedures, objectives, and methods to assess project progress while utilizing established standards and quality objectives.
  • Schedules and facilitates project meetings; follow-up on open actions to bring closure in alignment to due dates.
  • Prepares and maintains budgets and plans for all resources.
  • Identify and monitor project risk, including proposed mitigation steps?
  • Recognize emerging opportunities to develop new business.?
  • Assists with new team member Orientation training and systems training, as needed.
  • Assists with business development efforts including technical writing for requests for proposals and attendance at pre-proposal conferences, as needed.
  • Contributes to continuous process improvements.


Qualification & Experience:

  • At minimum, 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible consulting experience in any or all of the following areas of expertise:
    • General Management Consulting / Project Management
    • Strategic Planning
    • Business Process Reengineering
    • Human Capital
    • ERP/System Implementation
  • PMP Preferred (or agreement to obtain within 1 year)
  • Exceptional Project Planning and Project Budgeting skills
  • Exceptional meeting facilitation skills
  • Exceptional client relationship skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills to drive tasks to completion while maintaining a positive team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint, Visio)
  • Proficiency in other applications?a plus (Power BI, Powerautomate, Sharepoint Workflow, Canva, etc.)
  • Flexible to work long hours and/or weekends, as required, to meet project deadlines.? 


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, Economics, or related field; Master’s Degree in Business, Organizational
