Job Title: NOC Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network/System Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our client's network and server infrastructure. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Servers, networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to network optimization and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain servers, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks (Wi-Fi) to meet organizational requirements.
2. Configure and deploy fleet server and network equipment.
3. Strong knowledge in the following:
   • Firewalls, routers, switches, and access points 
   • Windows server operating systems
   • Microsoft Exchange 
   • Microsoft SQL 
   • SAN
   • Shared Fax services
   • MS Office 365
   • PBX systems
   • VOIP
4. Monitor server / network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to assess server / network needs and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
6. Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
7. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary updates or patches.
8. Manage documentation, including Visio diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
9. Provide mentoring and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
10. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in network / system engineering or a related role.
2. In-depth knowledge of server operating systems and networking protocols and technologies.
3. Experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba.
4. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
5. Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Relevant IT industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
