Job DescriptionJob Description

We are The Ryan Law Group, a full service Personal Injury law firm located in Manhattan Beach, CA. We are looking for a full-time certified Paralegal to join our growing team 

Our office is located right at the intersection of Highland and Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach, with a beautiful view of the beach right from our windows. The Strand and the sand are just a two minute walk away and offer a great way to spend your lunch break 

As a Paralegal at our Firm, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): 

  • Provide legal support to the firm’s pre-litigation department. 

  • Request and follow-up with medical records from client treatment facilities.

  • Organize and maintain case files.

  • Draft and send settlement demand letters to insurance companies.

  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies. 

  • Negotiate liens with medical providers. 

  • Account for all unpaid and paid invoices and expenses, before closing out files.

  • Prepare checks, letters, and records costs in Casepeer when distributing checks.

  • Set-up files for successful transition to the litigation team, when necessary. 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to commute to and work in-person at our office in Manhattan Beach between 8-4:30, 8:30-5, or 9-5:30. 

  • Close attention to detail

  • Organized

  • Strong communication skills

  • Outgoing personality, people person 

  • Able to multitask

  • Good follow-up and follow-through with tasks 

  • Team player

Education and/or Experience:

  • At least 1 year of paralegal experience at another personal injury firm (Legal assistant experience will apply if candidate holds a paralegal certificate) 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year university

  • Spanish speaker a plus, but not required

Salary: $30-35/hr hour, depending on experience
