Job Title: Construction Project Lead

Location: Marlborough, MA 01752 (ONSITE)

Duration: 6+ months contract

PR: $35-40/hr on W2

Job Description:

Notes:

  • In office Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Early in career type of role
  • 36.25 hour work week
  • Looking for someone who potentially has previous coordinator type of work and project specialist work. Not looking for a project manager.
  • Summer Fridays - this contractor can participate
  • Responsibilities- looking at emails, utilize Lucernex reviewing exterior sign drawings and, looking at PDFs looking at drawings.

Summary:

Construction Project Lead directly oversees miscellaneous construction and signage projects within the different chains. Aids in project schedules and assigning General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors. Distributes all required project documents to external and internal contacts. Negotiates pricing, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, tracks progress and ensures close-outs for all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives assigned. Supplies Field Organization and Management updates detailing the status of all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives on a regular basis.

(Must Haves) Key Strengths:

  • Strong organization and project planning skills are necessary.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Adept in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word. Lucernex and Service Channel experience a plus.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at any one time.
  • Highly self-motivated, works well in a team environment.

Good to Have:

  • 0-3 years in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Fixturing, Architectural Design, or related construction trades is preferred.
  • Understanding and ability to read blueprints, specifically Floor Plans, Elevations, and Site Plans.
  • Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing criteria would be desired.
  • Experience working on complex projects is good to have.
  • Retail experience is preferred.
  • General fixturing, and retail store planning knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to decipher landlord and city codes as it relates to exterior signs.
