Summary of Duties
This position is responsible for data entry, processing, and maintenance of Distribution data in the company’s
Distribution Geographical Database System (DistGIS).
Education and Job Experience:
o High School Diploma or Equivalent
o Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a GIS related field is a plus.
o Certificate in GIS is a plus
o Experience working with ESRI’s ArcMap/ArcPro and Schneider’s ArcFM editing tools in Distribution electric systems.
Job Responsibilities:
o Data entry into the GIS database regarding planned and completed field work.
o Data entry using AutoCad for underground subdivisions
o Researching and correcting Fuzzy Customer’s in GIS/CSS
o Coordinate updates with the Division’s and the DCC related to projects that extend many months
o Maintain high standards for data quality
o Reconcile data conflicts
o Provide storm support for ERTs and/or pinging meters
o Provide mapping/technical support for DistGIS users.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
o Knowledge of PD Technology processes and applications including but not limited to: DistGIS, NMS, JETS, CSS, EIS, Maximo
o Experience using Microsoft Office which includes Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
o GIS/AutoCAD
o Proven ability to multitask and strong decision making abilities
o Analytical approach to problem solving
o Able to maintain focus on assigned tasks
o Good written and oral communication skills
o Good interpersonal skills
o Exhibit safe work behavior by embracing Target Zero
