Position Title: Associate Attorney

Location: Tampa, Florida

 

Position Overview: Banker Lopez Gassler P.A. has an opening for an Associate to join its General Trial Practice Group focusing on Admiralty/Maritime Law. Candidates will be licensed, and in good standing, in the state of Florida or planning on taking the Florida Bar.

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

· Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings;

· Be able to work independently but also collaboratively;

· Ability to manage case load and litigation staff;

· Perform appellate research;

· Drafting substantive pleadings;

· Possess excellent research skills, specifically utilizing Westlaw;

· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Licensed in state of Florida;

· J.D. and scheduled to take the Florida Bar;

 

Benefits:

Associates are eligible to join the firm's health & welfare plans on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. They can participate in our firm's 401k and profit-sharing plans after 6 months.
