MJM DESIGNS Custom Carpentry and Remodeling is hiring. We are looking for experienced, lead carpenters with supervisory experience for immediate hire. Salary to be discussed during the interview process. Pay is dependent upon experience.
ABOUT US: We are a residential remodeling company, specializing in high-end residential remodeling projects. Our customers look to us as remodeling experts; therefore, we strive to meet and exceed client expectations every day.
ABOUT THE POSITION: Qualified carpenters must possess 5+ years of experience and must perform various construction/carpentry tasks unsupervised. The Lead Carpenter/Site Supervisor will be responsible for independent oversight of projects while providing supervision & guidance to other carpenters in order to reduce delays and maintain schedules to meet or exceed project deadlines. Our ideal candidate will be a reliable, fully prepared, self-starter with a passion for the craft. In our project environments every detail matters. Recognition of the importance of a positive attitude is key and will drive performance and positive outcomes.
In addition, you must possess the ability to lift 25lbs and up, have your own tool belt & appropriate tools to work, and must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess 5+ years of experience in frame to finish carpentry with a discerning eye for detail (all aspects of carpentry)
- Help manage the layout and ensure cleanliness
- Possess a willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company
- Provide supervision and guidance to carpenters on site
- Be an independent problem solver
- Possess a willingness to manage a variety of different tasks
- Direct and maintain schedules to meet or exceed project deadlines
- Act as liaison with customers and the project manager
- Possess your own toolbelt & appropriate tools
- Possess ability to lift 25+lbs
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license (to operate company vehicles)
- Pass a drug screen & background check
