Outreach Director

 

Title: Outreach Director

Accountable To: Development Pastor

Time Commitment:   Full-Time, M-Th - 9AM-5PM, Sundays 

One Sentence Job Description:   Oversee all outreach ministries of Foothills Church.
 

THE WIN:   The win is to move the people of FC to serve outside the walls of the church.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage local partners and continue to connect FC partners to serve in those organizations.
  • Foster new relationships with potential local organizations that share our vision.
  • Connect Small Groups to service projects each quarter.
  • Lead and manage “Let’s Go,” a yearly initiate in which we focus one creating hundreds of serving opportunities in Maryville and Knoxville for the people of FC.
  • Develop, care, and foster relationships with current global partners.
  • Create at least 2 global mission trip opportunities for FC partners.
  • Foster new relationships with potential local organizations that share our vision.
  • Oversee Deacon ministry. Recruit and Train deacons to care for people in hospitals and homebound.
  • Oversee Care opportunities for partners going through a life change.
  • Serve alongside the Development Team to assist the Journey Process and Small Group Events.
  • Assist the Lead pastor as needed, i.e…teach Journey classes, emcee, baptize, or counsel.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Love Jesus and care about making disciples through relational environments.
  • Have a passion to live on mission and serve the community.
  • A positive attitude and willing help other ministries when needed.
  • Able to recruit, train, and inspire leaders to accomplish the vision.
  • Self-starter and a developer of people, not just a doer of tasks.
  • Enjoy working in a fast past environment.
  • Embrace the Core Values of FC Staff.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in ministry.
  • Helpful but not required: Seminary Degree
