Our client is a North American organization. They have an opening for an accomplished payroll professional who can do it all This role will be responsible for the semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll for multiple locations and states for up to 500 employees. Your day will zip by quickly, and will handle the following responsibilities:
- Handle the complete cycle payroll from start to finish
- Knowledge of multiple state labor laws
- Understands GL
- Export/import reports
- Advanced Excel user
- Handles employee questions regarding payroll legislation, timekeeping, earnings, taxes, deductions, garnishments, benefits/carrier questions and 401K
- Manages month-end, quarter-end and year-end payroll activities
- Is a partner with other departments such as HR, Finance and IT
- Handles annual company audits such as ACA, 401K, Workers Compensation and ERISSA
What you'll bring:
- At least 5 years of multi-state, multi-location payroll for up to 500 employees
- Strong background in US Federal and State payroll laws
- Bachelor's Degree in commerce, administration finance or similar
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements), ADP or Paycom
- Certified Payroll Professional an asset
- Problem solver, able to connect the dots, critical thinker
- Able to undergo and pass a background check
