Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical codes and standards, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
• Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with construction project managers and other tradespeople.
• Train and supervise apprentice electricians.
• Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

Qualifications:

• Valid journeyman electrician license.
• Proven experience as a journeyman electrician; minimum 5 years preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.).
• Thorough understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts in various environments.
