Job DescriptionJob Description

Tradeco of Memphis is hiring Journeyman and Apprentices with 3 solid years of experience. 

Responsibilities include: 

Apprentice with 3 years on-the-job experience:

  • Pull wire-feeder cable (big cable) home runs and power.
  • Identify circuitry (A basic knowledge of circuitry)
  • Trim out-install receptacles and switches. Install plates. (face plates of receptacles and switches)
  • Install lights/led retrofit
  • Bend pipe and run at least 300 ft a day
  • Wall and ceiling rough in (usually done in MC cable)

 A Journeyman is of course expected to know all of the above plus:

  • Pre slab rough in and lay out. (Done outside before and after the slab has been poured.)
  • Read and work off prints.
  • Able to understand and install and give direction for wall and ceiling rough in, power distribution, lighting, lighting control, panel install.
  • Wiring based off circuitry, power to roof top units, generators and elevators, fire alarm, install pole lights.
  • The journeyman should be able to work with minimum oversight. It is expected they have the knowledge and the experience.
