Construction Project Superintendent

Summary

Holtsclaw Construction Company, LLC, a fast growing commercial general contractor operating throughout the Southeast United States, is looking for a Project Superintendent that can oversee and supervise construction projects throughout the Southeast United States areas. Projects will consist of tenant build-out's, renovations, and new construction for retail, office space, commercial, restaurants, quick service restaurants, retail strip centers, and big box facilities. The project superintendent is responsible for overseeing all project related construction activities, safety procedures, scheduling, and quality control for each project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all project related construction activities
  • Quality control to ensure all aspects of construction are built per plan and spec
  • Coordination and scheduling of all subcontractors and project deliveries
  • Problem solving and coordinating solutions with management team
  • Communication with project team, project manager, field personnel, inspectors, and municipal/utility representatives
  • Daily review of all work in progress to ensure safety and quality control procedures are followed
  • Review and coordination of all construction documents and specifications with each trade
  • Schedule review and updating
  • Daily reports and documentation of project activities, ability to use software for uploading daily reports and photos
  • Daily correspondence with project manager to provide project related updates
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of ground up construction including sitework, storm, utilities, layout, paving, and complex building construction
  • As-Built and photo documentation of all installed utilities, piping, infrastructure, etc.
  • Coordination of all required building inspections and 3rd party testing
  • Checking layout, materials, and workmanship to confirm adherence to construction documents
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades, tasks, and projects
  • Track all project related issues and constantly follow up until resolved
  • Ability to operate equipment and use tools

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of commercial superintendent experience required
