A local company with a facility in the Macomb, MI area is currently seeking several CNC Engineering Technicians / CNC Programmers for direct hire long-term opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for CNC Engineering Technicians / CNC Programmers looking for a company that offers excellent growth, management, training, work-life balance, and competitive rates.

CNC Engineering Technician / CNC Programmer rates are anticipated to be $27 - $33/hour based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits including great medical, dental, and 401k. Hours are 6:00AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday, and 6:00AM to 2:00PM Saturdays. 

Qualified CNC Engineering Technicians / CNC Programmers will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 2-3 years of recent of relevant experience with CNC Programming with lathes and mills
  • Must be able to complete CNC Programming edits to CNC programs and modifications and perform production set ups
  • Comfortable with Programming, Setup, Operating CNC lathes and mills, this role is somewhat hands-on
  • Troubleshooting tooling, electrical and electronic problems, performing PLC implementation, and PLC program management
  • Conducting studies for time, motion, method and speed to improve efficiency or establish standard production rates
  • Conducting tool life studies and help implement new and enhanced process tools
  • Maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization 
  • Assisting with capability studies, ROI analysis, participate in APQP/PPAP process and implementation of new processes
  • Following Housekeeping, Safety, and Environmental requirements - Recycling, labeling, spills and programs 
  • Assisting with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping
  • Making or modify machine parts and assisting with training for operators on machining 
  • Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered)
  • Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, and references, etc.
