Rehab Tech Position


Supports physical therapy; by preparing treatment areas, bringing patients back, having equipment and materials ready, performing exercise under the supervision of a physical therapist. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Allied Physical Therapy


Rehab Tech  Job Duties:


  • Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patients.
  • Helps with the treatment of the patients by applying heat packs; paraffin dips; helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques by Physical Therapist.
  • Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating Therapist needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Requirements:  Must have knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology.

Rehab Tech Leader Qualifications:

Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Verbal Communication, Listening, Coaching, Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Supply Management. Has the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
