Job Summary:

As a Truck Technician at Campbell Supply, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and functionality of trucks. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical issues. The position offers growth opportunities and three different levels (A, B, C) based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities:

Level A:

  • Strong diagnostic skills: Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks.
  • Advanced technical knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, with the ability to repair and replace components.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous in inspecting and identifying potential problems and ensuring precision in repairs.
  • Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop innovative solutions, and implement effective repair strategies.
  • Time management: Efficiently prioritize tasks, manage workload, and complete repairs within specified timelines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with team members.

Level B:

  • Diagnostic proficiency: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks.
  • Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, with the capability to repair and replace components.
  • Attention to detail: Thorough in inspecting and detecting potential problems and ensuring accuracy in repairs.
  • Problem-solving: Proficient in identifying and resolving mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Time management: Skillful in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and completing repairs within established timelines.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate with colleagues effectively.

Qualifications:

Level A:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing various truck systems and components.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Level B:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various truck systems and components.
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
