We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic experienced Staff Accountant who possesses strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to problem-solve, and function as part of a team as well as being able to work independently.  This position will handle general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update accounting records and files
  • Perform and assist with month-end and year end close accounting tasks including preparation of journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Post journal entries and categorize records in general ledger
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and statements
  • Assist in preparation of supporting schedules for annual audit
  • Set up vendors and purchase requisitions for departments
  • Process AP invoices and prepare payments
  • Assist billing team for customer statements and reconciliations

·         Assist in establishing, improving, and documenting processes

·         Any other accounting responsibilities that may be assigned as needed by the Company

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask with accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to problem solve
  • Preferred System Experience: Sage Intacct, EBizCharge and MS Office
