The Assistant Field Superintendent is expected to be in the field 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the construction superintendent on the job.
  • Supervising and managing the construction crew on-site.
  • Managing and coordinating all on-site work.
  • Leading team meetings and safety huddles onsite.
  • Examining the schedule and budget, becoming familiar with them, and ensuring they are followed.
  • Ensuring that standards of quality are met.
  • Placing material orders and overseeing the tools and supplies on the job site.
  • Adhering to the project schedule to guarantee that deadlines are met.
  • Controlling and ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety regulations on-site.
  • Keeping track of site staff records, including daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
  • Coordinating approvals with inspection authorities.
  • Ensure project management by planning out all necessary tools, resources, and subcontractors to complete all projects on schedule and within the allotted spending limits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an assistant construction superintendent is required in commercial construction
  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Excel, and Word proficiency.
  • Proficient in reading construction documents.
  • Capability to take and upload digital pictures.
  • Developed effective project management skills.
  • The ability to operate heavy machinery (will get forklift trained)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to comprehend and construct the following blueprints, specifications, and other documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Matterport experience is desired.
  • Autodesk proficiency is desired.

You should be prepared to work outside the city for 4-8 weeks at a time on various projects as needed.
