Job Summary

Under supervision, the purchasing clerk is responsible for the purchasing of materials and equipment to support technicians with their needs to perform their required work. The purchasing employee is in close contact and communication with our customer service and sales departments as well as with vendors and suppliers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Interacts and coordinates with vendors both electronically, and over the phone daily to coordinate and purchase materials, parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Records transactions of purchases in different software platforms
  • Responsible for overseeing proper allocation and use for purchased items.
  • Following safeguards implemented to protect company payment information.
  • Interacts with a high level of confidence and provides an iconic experience with other members of the team, that supports our positive work culture.
  • Upholds company controls for procurement.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • No prior experience or training required.

Skills & Abilities

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
