Job Description:

Wastewater Treatment Operators are responsible for treating and processing water to meet, not exceed, the required discharge level of metals as described by the city of Wixom before discharging. Maintain proper chemical levels in all feed, holding, and storage tanks relating to operation of waste treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Add chemicals to tank and dump sludge press when required.
  • Ensure all air diaphragm and mechanical pumps are in proper operation and being properly maintained.
  • Calibrate pH and ORP Probes when scheduled.
  • Identify problems of water related to sight, smell over limit violations.
  • Maintain and document all forms pertaining to record-keeping for Tribar Technologies and the City of Wixom.
  • Assisting in the removal of all hazardous waste, keeping clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or a minimum of one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license.
  • Frequently transports equipment and materials up to 100lbs.
  • Detect specific odor in water.
  • Move about the plant and ascend/descend stairs 100% of the time.
  • Position self to test and maintain water levels.
  • Inspect water for variations in color or cloudiness.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Water Treatment & Distribution Occupations: 1 year (Required)
