Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician with at least 3 years of experience in electrical service for commercial and/or manufacturing environments. This role involves performing various electrical installations and maintenance tasks in challenging environments, including high temperatures and elevated work platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial and manufacturing settings.
  • Work safely off manlifts and other elevated platforms.
  • Experience with large EMT conduit installation and connections.
  • Handle and maintain transformers and other high-voltage equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.



Qualifications:

  • License:
    • Must hold a valid electrical license in the state of Texas
    • Continuing education to maintain licensing requirements.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial and manufacturing electrical work.
    • Proven experience with installing and maintaining electrical systems in large-scale commercial and industrial settings.
    • Experience in troubleshooting complex electrical systems and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in working with large EMT conduit, including bending, cutting, and threading.
    • Extensive knowledge of transformers, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Proficient in high-voltage systems and components.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Motor Controls and High Voltage experience is a PLUS.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of electrical codes and regulations (e.g., NEC).
    • Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
    • Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and best practices.
    • Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment efficiently.
  • Environment:
    • Ability to work in hot environments and elevated positions (manlifts).
    • Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
