Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsible for being proficient in producing high quality products in a variety of production level positions with the highest level of safety. Must be flexible and can be cross trained in various production roles such as: material handling, material cutting, measuring, packaging, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

Has shown ability to learn new tasks easily and change accordingly due to necessary production requirements. “Moderate” production work related experience. (see below) This individual is well versed in a variety of production tasks. (see below) Can provide some training to others and work with technicians to troubleshoot at some frequency.

 

Duties and Responsibilities; include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform job duties and assist other operators in the manufacture of products.

  • Work closely with Technicians and Engineers in area of responsibility and sets the example for a model production worker and supports department leaders at the highest level. Highly capable of learning new tasks and adjusting to necessary production requirements.
  • Perform job duties at the highest level of production and quality and is capable of training other operators in the manufacture of products.
  • Develops other associates through training, coaching, mentoring, and motivation
  • Ensure safe work practices and adherence to established safety procedures including proper use of hoists, preparation/ handling of rolls, stringing of the line etc.
  • Analyze and verify quality of work/ materials Utilizing OCS panel
  • Perform regular job functions (ie. Purging adhesive, changing screens, operating air rolls, the hoist, the unwind, etc)
  • Accurately complete all production documentation.
  • Analyze schedules, prep and pre-stage upcoming job materials (Rolls, Adhesive)
  • Support and maintain a clean and organized work center.
  • Accountable for department output and efficiencies in area of responsibility
  • Maintain a harmonious manufacturing/work environment
  • Maintain communication with production managers, production leads, and fellow associates to maximize quality and output
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement ideas
  • Maintain and improve 5S in all areas

Qualifications

Drive for continuous improvement

Effective communications skills

Knowledge of Lean principals as well as demonstrated Lean improvement experience is a plus

2-4 years of proven results

4+ years of proven results of quality and output in a manufacturing environment

 

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma/GED

Proficiency in High school math skills

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read/write work instructions, specifications

 

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills (ability to use scanning and basic data entry)

 

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced work environment
  • Standing/on feet for long lengths of time
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40lbs.
