JAE Oregon is a manufacturer of electrical components. This Buyer II position supports the purchasing function of JAE Oregon. The primary focus is to purchase and manage purchase orders for non-stock items and packaging. Assists Managers and Sr. Buyer in maintaining inventories of all stock items.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. All Elements of the Buyer II role.
2. Manages VMI, pricing, inventory, forecasting and purchase orders for assigned packaging suppliers.
3. Forecast management for assigned suppliers.
4. Assists in QMS audits.
5. Complies with all ISO/IATF/VDA and other company supported programs and their components and ensures complete and accurate documentation of production records.
6. Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations section(s) of the Employee Handbook and other established company culture components as well as compliance with the Management Systems Manual.
7. Completes on the job and specialized training as required.
8. Awareness of job-related environmental impacts.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

JOB SCOPE
This position directly supports department supervisors and overall production activities. This position carries a variety of responsibilities and communicates frequently across a wide range of positions within the company. The position operates dependently with direct reporting responsibility to Purchasing Manager
SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for supporting the budgetary goals of the Purchasing Department. This is a non-supervisory role.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Contacts require routine and non-routine dialog both inside and outside the company. The contacts have significant consequences to the organization if not handled successfully. Contacts contain some discussion about confidential or sensitive matters and are usually made inside the Company on own initiative. Of the contacts that are made, 40% are face to face, 60% are on the phone and 99% are with non-customers.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
1. Capable of using personal computer.
2. Must understand written and verbal communication in English.
3. Must have planning and problem analysis skills.
4. Must be able to handle multiple and diverse priorities.
5. Must be able to effectively relate and communicate at Managers and Supervisor level.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
2. Level II understanding of Excel based on Litmos training.
3. Basic competency in SAP.
4. Basic understanding of core supply chain skills (APICS/ ASCM)

JOB CONDITIONS
This position generally performs its duties during regular scheduled business hours but shall be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
