Hospital Medicine Solutions (HMS) is a physician-led hospitalist group established in 2013 to provide high quality & innovative patient care to communities we serve. HMS’ foundation has been built around identifying great providers interested in long-term partnerships, organizational growth, and leadership development.

Heywood Healthcare is one of the last remaining independent health systems within Massachusetts. The system is composed of both Heywood and Athol Hospital. Heywood is a 114-bed community hospital while Athol is a 25-bed critical access facility located 45 minutes west of Boston.

HMS partnered with this community health system to develop and operate a long-term high-quality service. Heywood has a fantastic administrative team and continues to be an advocate for HMS’ vision and provider focused approach.

Available Positions: Athol Hospital, HMS is actively seeking one part- or full-time advanced practice provider to join our team located in Athol, MA. The opportunity at Athol Hospital is an in-demand position due to the high rate and favorable workload. Position #1: Night Advanced Practice Provider (NP)

Hospitalist Opportunity Details:

· W2 Full-Time 

· APP Night: Very competitive compensation

· Benefits Plan - Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, 401k Retirement Plan, STD/LTD, PTO, Malpractice, etc...

· CME Allowance

Part-time Option:

- Per diem rate: Up to $120/hr ($1,440/shift)

- Malpractice: Heywood Healthcare covers

- Flexible scheduling

Hospitalist Staffing Model/Clinical Outline (Per/day):

• Athol Hospital:

o Day Model: ▪ 1 MD: 7am-7pm

o Night Model: ▪ 1 advanced practice provider: 7pm-7am

• Available shifts: 8-14 shifts per cycle (28 days)

• Daily Census:

o MD: 10-16

o Nocturnist: Covers the floor and admissions (light volume)

• EMR: Meditech Expanse
