Procurement Specialist

The Procurement/Inventory Specialist will work within the company to support the accounting, design, and operations staff as and with all suppliers and sub-contractors to optimize operations, ensure seamless data flow, process alignment, and material availability.

Duties Include:

Request and evaluate bids, place purchase orders, and ensure proper and timely implementation of pricing, quantity, and contractually agreed terms.

Manage shipping, receiving, warehouse, and distribution for proper flow of materials, inventory control, and efficient loading and unloading for job deliveries.

Individual will be responsible for managing warehouse deliveries and site verification.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid understanding of purchasing principles, inventory control practices, contract management, inventory and warehouse management, shipping and receiving.

Knowledge of purchase orders, bill of materials, return authorizations, etc…

Good project management skills, including strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Exceptional time management and organization skills.

Builder Trend experience a plus

Construction background a plus

Forklift and equipment knowledge a plus

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to lift 50lbs.  

Must be able to walk or stand for periods of time.
