Pine Hill Manufacturing is looking for a full-time Purchasing Assistant that is expected to require approximately 40-45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• •Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.

• •Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.

• •Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner and ensure they are correct.

• •Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.

• •Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply

• •Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans

• •Purchase, receive and reconcile invoices

• •Work with and make suggestions to the management team to develop policy and procedures that bring efficiencies and excellence to our processes.

• •Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters

Ideal Candidate:

• •Should have prior experience in material and product procurement.

• •The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.

• •Have prior experience using a computer based MRP (Material Resource Planning) system.

• •Understanding of supply chain procedures

• •Should have previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts

• •Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

• •Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
