Job DescriptionJob Description

PrideStaff is currently seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor for a large manufacturer of nano-engineered materials in Bolingbrook/Romeoville, IL. The ideal candidate will coordinate, supervise, and manage all maintenance related activities for both of the Company’s facilities and our warehouse location, with minimal direct supervision. These activities are listed in the section below.

1st Shift: 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday
Pay range: $32-44/hr (all depending on experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following list. (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Maintains a safe work environment and conformance to all safety, environmental, customer, and cGMP requirements as specified by Operations Management.
  • Manages and facilitates workflow for all of the Maintenance Technicians.
  • Sets goals and expectations for execution of every related task, and tracks performance against those standards.
  • Manages and executes corporate PM and WO systems for area of responsibility.
  • Orders all parts and services as needed to maintain the facilities and processes within.
  • Creates and manages project plans as needed for complex equipment installation, building modifications, etc.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources in fulfilling PM and WO functions.
  • Recommends and implements actions to improve operations related to core responsibilities.
  • Interfaces directly with Engineering and Operations and communicates effectively in verbal and written form.
  • Provides team leadership in meeting the Company’s quality and production goals.
  • Takes on an internal customer focused “service” approach to activities.
  • Provides assistance to Operations and Engineering when called upon, or when need is observed.
  • Manages long-term goals for the department and its personnel and addresses gaps where needed.
  • Manages employee development and disciplinary actions.
  • Creates, edits, revises standard operating procedures, as needed, for maintenance functions.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Must have 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, 3+ years of supervising maintenance staff.
  • Must be familiar with how to troubleshoot and maintain a variety of plant and process equipment.
    • This includes motors, air compressors, chillers, HVAC equipment, drive units, water delivery equipment, electrical service equipment, motor starters, switches, etc. Should be able to specify simple equipment.
  • Must be familiar with basic mechanical design and be able to read and modify mechanical drawings and process drawings (e.g., piping and instrumentation diagrams).
  • Must be familiar with basic electronics and simple controls.
    • This includes being able to effectively read and use electrical schematics and control diagrams for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Must be able to install simple electrical services and controls.
  • Broad level understanding of electrical codes a plus.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to effectively and efficiently use the software tools required for the job.
    • These include, but are not limited to, Outlook, Office products, MRP systems (e.g.,Smart Maintenance).
  • Must be able to solicit quotes from vendors and contractors and generate and submit requisitions for parts and labor necessary to fulfill the activities described in the previous section.
