Position: Residential HVAC Service Technician
Typical Work Hours: Monday – Friday. Typically between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Compensation: $28.00 - $41.00/hour. DOE.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes all general HVAC in-home service calls
- Establishes customer rapport to sell the right products and services
- Asks proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions
- Educates and assists customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
- Understands service criteria and is accountable for exceeding revenue goals
- Works with customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business
- Maintains a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck
- Participates actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats
- Trains and mentors apprentices to ensure efficient, accurate repairs and installations
- Accurate and timely completion of invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets
- Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for managing technicians and equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications
- Proven track record in heating and cooling systems including ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints, and other diagrams
- Clean driving record
- Highly organized with exceptional follow through abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years related experience required.
- Valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements
- Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
