Children's Outpatient Clinician

Starting Pay Range: $50,000
Position Type: FTE (37.5 hours/week)
PURPOSE:
Provide trauma-informed outpatient therapy, inclusive of diagnostic assessments; individual, group, and family therapy; and supportive services for a diverse caseload of children and families experiencing a variety of behavioral health issues.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide client-centered, trauma-informed, outpatient treatment to a caseload of individuals 4 to 17 years and older, families, etc
2. Enter intake and therapy appointments into electronic medical records at least 48 hours in advance.
3. Meet minimum performance standards, including a minimum billing expectation of 25 hours per week.
4. Accurately enter all progress notes within 3 days of service and supportive documentation (e.g., treatment plans, safety plans, case management notes, Briefs, Triage notes, no show or cancellation notes) accordingly.
5. Accurately complete timesheet in ADP by end of business day on Fridays once all documentation is completed for the week.
6. With the individual’s consent, make a concerted effort to engage identified support system including family and significant others, as it pertains to identified treatment goals.
7. Provide an initial and ongoing assessment of presenting issues, diagnostic impressions, and recommended course of treatment.
8. Create treatment plans and routinely monitor progress in collaboration with the individual.
9. Coordinate care with other involved professionals (including psychiatry, case managers, primary care physicians, etc) to ensure continuity of care.
10. Provide linkage to identified resources as needed. This may include referrals for expanded mental health programming including IOP, D&A, BCM, Psychiatry or community services.
11. Actively participate in staff meetings and provide consultation/support to team members.
12. Create a safety plan and provide crisis intervention as needed. This will include follow up and coordination of care when individuals go to the CRC or another acute level of care.
13. Accurately maintain required records and documentation, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with Agency, State, and County regulations.
14. Assist with community outreach, education and prevention programs as needed.
15.Timely complete all mandatory trainings (in first 90 days and then as needed) to maintain state, Community Behavioral Health (CBH) and NIAC credentialing; maintains all Continuing Education for licenses or certifications.
16. Obtains EBP training as requested by supervisor.
17. Function in full compliance with all agency policies/procedures and federal, state and local laws and Interact’s Code of Conduct.
18. Come to weekly supervision prepared to discuss current caseload, weekly productivity, and any relevant clinical or administrative questions or concerns.
19. Actively participate in appropriate EBP consultation group(s), each held for one hour/month.
20. Must participate in Interact’s Compliance Program, including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to immediate supervisor or Director of Continuous Quality Improvement.
21. Accurately maintain and update as needed all necessary clearances (and license if applicable) to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
22. Embrace Sanctuary Meeting and behaves in a manner that promotes safety, equity, and trauma-informed practices.
23. Attend internal and external meetings as requested by supervisor.
24. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Outpatient Clinicians must meet one of the following criteria:
a. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Human Services field.
b. License not required but preference given to licensed candidates.
c. Previous experience providing behavioral health therapy to adults preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have Valid Childline, PA Criminal History and FBI Clearances prior to seeing clients.
2. Willingness to be trained in EBPs that are appropriate to current caseload/clientele, with preference to candidates already trained in CBT or another EBP.
3. Upon licensure, a willingness to undergo credentialing for major insurances.
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
