Job DescriptionJob Description

White River Township Fire Department (Hamilton County) has an immediate opening for a Paramedic, Paramedic / Firefighter, or an Advanced EMT / Firefighter. This position will be on shift using the reverse Kelly day rotation. Duties include responding to all incidents on shift, station duties, and other township activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrator and treat care to the sick or injured patients.
  • Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, doctors, and other medical personnel regarding patient care and treatment.
  • Complete and report all medical reports.
  • Direct and communicate with other personnel on the scene for care to the patient.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Paramedic License or certification for Advanced EMT.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with patient and patient's family.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.  
  • Familiar with medical software and equipment.
