The Full Charge Bookkeeper (the Senior Accountant) supervises the company’s Junior Accountant that performs invoicing/payables/receivables/bank deposits and also works closely with the company’s retained CPA firm. The position is responsible for the company's full-cycle accounting, which requires an ability to juggle several organizational tasks at once. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and month-end/year-end close as well as supervising payroll information (out-sourced to Payroll Solutions), general bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, producing financial statements, track metrics, forecast depreciation, profit and loss (P&L) and monitoring credit lines. The position also serves as the company’s lead interface with company’s local Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software vendor (Northlake Partners) for coordinating their miscellaneous technical support and/or training as/if/when required.
The job is extremely hands-on and detail-oriented, bearing much responsibility; the ideal candidate must be responsible and self-reliant. The ability to present information to owners and coworkers is critical; the ideal candidate must be able to define problems distinctly, collect data accurately, establish reliable facts, and draw valid conclusions. Qualified candidates must possess at least 8+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role, provide quality references and have significant hands-on experience using Microsoft Office, MS Excel, QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software. Candidates with Microsoft GP Dynamics accounting software experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance preferred.
