Job Description

We are Goose AV, and our goal is to build a business that filled all the needs of commercial technology, from constructions to managing network within our community. We are looking for new members to join our growing team to Installs, adjusts, and repairs audio and television receivers, stereo systems, video systems, and other electronic home entertainment equipment.

Job Type: Part Time, Full Time, or On Call. We're flexible to work with your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembles entertainment equipment and repairs or replaces loose, worn, or defective components and wiring, using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Installs, services, and repairs electronic equipment or instruments, such as televisions, radios, and video recorders.
  • Calibrates and tests equipment and locates circuit and component faults using hand and power tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Tunes or adjusts equipment and instruments to obtain optimum visual or auditory reception, according to specifications, manuals, and drawings.
  • Communicates with customers to identify the issue or to explain a repair.
  • Instructs customers on the safe and proper use of equipment.
  • Computes cost estimates for labor and materials.
  • Reads and interprets electronic circuit diagrams, function block diagrams, specifications, engineering drawings, and service manuals.
  • Keeps records of work orders and test and maintenance reports.
  • Makes service calls to repair units in customers' homes or returns units to shops for major repairs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience: certification in Low Voltage Communications Systems or similar certification preferred with 2 years of related experience.
  • OR: A few months to one year of low voltage electrician experiences
  • Driver License, and ability to commute to various locations

  • Knowledge of residential and commercial electronic systems including security, data cabling, access control, and other hardware and Software tools.
