Major Duties and Responsibilities

● Track freight to make sure pick up and deliveries are made on-time.

● Contact old customers for possible interest

Minor Responsibilities

● Tracking trucks

● Costing of orders

● Work on bill of lading for driver’s route

● Quoting customers freight for FTL and LTL

● Basic Function: Responsible for quoting, coordinating and controlling the movement of customer supplied products with a focus on achieving high quality standards and customer satisfaction. This position is primarily responsible for the managing of customer accounts in all aspects of Supply Chain Management and to maximize the productivity and efficiency of PDS. Strong focus on client networking, negotiating pricing and customer relationship in truckload and less than truckload shipments.

● Creatively self-generate leads and qualify prospects

● Build relationships with prospects and existing customers by making 80+ cold calls per day

● Stay up to date on industry trends to provide and negotiate freight costs to customers and carriers

● Manage freight movement and problem solve in real time

● Proactively communicate when resolving issues and provide updates to customers and carriers

● Solicit/source freight carriers, develop carrier network to meet operational and customer needs

● The candidate will be responsible for growing a book of business, developing weekly load volume with customers, and procuring carriers to deliver those loads.

● Manage the process end to end from procuring the loads, procuring the truck handling the price negotiations, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork.

Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure on-time delivery and support handling any difficulties that could arise.
