Job DescriptionJob Description

The Medical Scribe will follow the physician and go into the exam room to see patients. The scribe will be helping the physician with charting, dictating and navigating the EMR system. The Scribe will provide accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, diagnoses, and prescriptions. They accurately document the events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. Scribes enable physicians to spend more time with individual patients and increase the overall flow of patients in the clinic. Ideal candidate is one who is interested in the field of medicine and is looking to get clinical experience before going on to professional school.
