Responsibilities:

·       Security Architecture and Design:

o   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust security architectures for systems, applications, and networks.

o   Conduct security reviews and assessments of new and existing technologies to ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices.

o   Provide cybersecurity support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including employees and system administrators.

o   Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into day-to-day operations.

·       Vulnerability Management:

o   Manage vendors to identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems and applications through regular scans and penetration testing.

o   Work closely with system owners and administrators to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.

·       Security Tool Implementation and Management:

o   Deploy, configure, and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.

o   Monitor security alerts and incidents, fine-tuning security tools for optimal performance.

o   Respond to ongoing security monitoring alerts to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities or security risks.

o   Investigate security alerts and incidents, applying troubleshooting skills to determine the nature and extent of the threat.

o   Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

·       Incident Response and Investigation:

o   Participate in incident response activities, including analyzing security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to identify root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

o   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain and eradicate security incidents promptly.

o   Participate in post-incident analysis to identify lessons learned and enhance incident response processes.

o   Integrate security solutions into existing workflows to streamline incident detection and response.

o   Develop and implement automation scripts and processes to enhance the efficiency of cybersecurity operations.

·       Patch Management:

o   Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management program to ensure the timely and secure deployment of patches across all systems.

o   Evaluate and test patches for compatibility with existing systems and applications.

o   Collaborate with system administrators to schedule and execute patch deployments, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering roles, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions.

In-depth knowledge of security technologies, protocols, and best practices.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC.

Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and principles.
