Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Fuel: Safely transport fuel to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive fuel trucks and operate associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicles: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Report any issues or necessary repairs to the maintenance department.
  • Load and Unload Fuel: Safely load and unload fuel, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent spills and accidents.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel quantities, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards related to fuel transportation and hazardous materials.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and manage any emergency situations, such as fuel spills or accidents, in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in fuel transportation.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required).
    • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling.
    • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
    • Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and handle the physical demands of loading and unloading fuel.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: May require working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Environment: Work is performed outdoors and in all weather conditions.
