SUMMARY Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. Competently able to inspect multiple production departments. In addition, in the absence of the Quality Control Supervisor/Assistant Quality Control Manager/Quality Control Manager oversees supervisory duties within the Quality Control Department in Building A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Essential duties are performed with minimal supervision.

Interprets discrete job routing sheet, artwork, and formulas and confers with management or other staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

Provides inspection activity for incoming raw and packaging materials.

Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance.

Coordinates quarantined product which includes retesting, deviation, moving to NCMR area, hold tags, and other necessary steps.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES In the absence of the Quality Control Supervisor/Assistant Quality Control Manager/Quality Control Manager, directly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Knowledge of ManMan software is a plus.
